"Big Foot May Be Real" Big Foot may be real, but I am very skeptical. I have seen pictures of him and even a few pictures of his footprints. But that is as far as it goes. No personal encounters. No indication that he ever actually lived. I have seen pictures of Jesus, or at least artists' renditions. Prophecies and references of Jesus are all through the Bible beginning with Genesis 3:15 through Revelation. St Matthew teaches us that many people came out of their graves when Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. It is recorded in the gospels that Jesus was seen by over 500 people after His resurrection as well as by His disciples and His mother. Isaiah spends a lot of time telling us about Jesus. Secular historians like Josephus have written about Jesus. Apologetics would tell us that people wrote about Jesus the very same way in different countries, in different cultures, spanning hundreds of years. Looking at Jesus in a more practical sense we see the impact Christ has had on this world. John the Baptist sent two of his followers to ask Jesus "are you the Christ or should we look for another?" and Jesus said (to his disciples) "go and tell John what you have seen and heard; the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them". I think it is important to remember how the Christian Church has survived through the centuries. Millions have been persecuted for their faith - many have even died - yet still we see the Church grow and its influence expand throughout the world. Not only has it changed individual lives but it has elevated the position of women, and placed all humans on the same level. The first hospitals, orphanages, and institutions of higher learning were started by Christians. Perhaps it would surprise some to learn that Harvard, Princeton, and Yale were established primarily to train ministers of the gospel- to evangelize the Atlantic seaboard. There are millions of believers in Christ in the world today. I haven't seen Big Foot but I have seen Christ - a thousand times over in the changed lives of those who have placed their trust in Him
